This is my 33rd year of teaching. I have taught and coached various sports at Spring Valley/Wykoff, MN, and Blooming Prairie, MN. I began teaching math at NRHEG in 1999 and have my masters degree with a focus on relieving math anxiety. I have also been involved in coaching basketball at various levels. My husband, Donnie, and I live near Ellendale and have three children: Greg, Geoff, and Gretchen.

I like to make stuff. As a kid, I was always taking apart old adding machines, broken tape players, or ancient cameras -- and sometimes managing to fix them. Other times, I would combine things like batteries and test tubes to make Hydrogen. (Sorry Mom about that ruined cooking pan!) One of my grandmothers and I made a calculator together, while my other grandmother and I sang, gardened and played cards. My dad and I even installed an 8-track tape player in our 1969 Mustang convertible.
Eventually, all this fun lead me to studying Physics, Electrical Engineering and Business at Stanford University followed by a couple of decades designing lasers and fiberoptic equipment for the likes of DirecTV, ESPN and the U.S. Military. Then in 2010, I switched gears and started teaching Algebra and Geometry.
The best part though was getting to raise two awesome sons, Chris and Erik, with my amazing wife Renee. We had lived near Pasadena, CA, then last year moved to MN to be closer to family and the boys’ colleges in the Twin Cities. Together, we enjoy water sports, games, music, travelling, and walking Meeko “the Wonder Dog”. Looking forward to a great year!Course docs for Intermediate Algebra: https://bit.ly/2Zw6hGnCourse docs for Geometry: https://bit.ly/2ZqT1Ic
