My name is Brad Root and I teach High School Woods 1, 11, construction trades and Physical Education at NRHEG. I am also the Head Boys and Girls golf coach. I been here for 29 years and have enjoyed every day. I attended the University of Minnesota and Minnesota State at Mankato. I hold degrees in K-12 administration, coaching, Physical Education and Special Ed.

I started my educational career in 1992 working at Murray County Central high school in Slayton, MN. I spent 12 years as an MCC Rebel before my wife and I decided to move closer to family which brought me to NRHEG in 2004. I enjoy teaching Ag Education because it is such a diverse subject. I get to teach science, business, leadership, welding, engineering, and many other topics. In 2011, I got the unique opportunity to start a new sport at NRHEG and have been the head coach of our Clay Target team ever since. When I am not at school I like to garden, play computer games, and spend time with my wife Barb and my daughter Elena.
