• NRHEG Community Eduction Volunteers supports learners through a network of caring volunteers dedicated to promoting literacy. As advocates of lifelong learning, we provide both students and volunteers with learning opportunities.

    Your Commitment Has Big Rewards

As a volunteer, you will provide direct services to children. Volunteers are asked to be dependable, patient, flexible, and sensitive to every learner. A sense of humor comes in handy, too! Since we serve a diverse population of learners, you’ll have the unique opportunity to see the world through another’s eyes. You are more then welcome to commit to 1-2 hours per week or take on a short-term placement as well. For your generous commitment of time, you can help a child master the skills necessary for today’s increasingly complex world. By sharing your talents and your positive attitude toward learning, you can experience the joy of helping children reach their full potential.  Volunteers are required to pass a background check prior to a personal orientation.

We currently have volunteer opportunities in our preschool 3 year old and 4/5 year old classrooms. Please contact Macy Whiteside for more information at (507) 417-2667!
