• The FFA Drive for Courage is a generations-old event that FFA chapters have been conducting for over 60 years.  FFA members travel out to area corn producers to solicit donations of corn.  The corn is then sold and the proceeds go to a facility called True Friends.  In the past, they went directly to a facility called Camp Courage (thus the fundraiser name) but since that time Camp Courage has joined other camps of a similar nature under the name, True Friends.  Camp Courage is a facility for handicapped and blind students that gives them the "summer camp" experience but with facilities designed for their needs.  The Minnesota FFA chapters have over the decades raised millions of dollars for Camp Courage.  The NRHEG chapter is the 5th highest lifetime donor in the state with total donations in excess of $150,000.  Many area corn producers, being past FFA members themselves, look forward to making this annual donation for this worthy cause.
