Dale N. Carlson--Superintendent
At the beginning of my educational career, I taught high school mathematics and coached for ten years, most of those serving students in the La Crosse School District in La Crosse, Wisconsin. In 1995, I accepted an assistant principal position at Parker High School in Janesville, WI, and four years later was named principal. I left Janesville in 2008 to join the School District of Holmen in Holmen, WI, where I served as district administrator until 2015. I currently serve as superintendent for the NRHEG Public Schools.
My undergraduate degree is in mathematics from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I earned a master degree in educational leadership from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
My wife, Sharon, is a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the La Crosse School District. Together, we have two sons, Andrew and Thomas. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending school and community events, volunteering, and working on the endless improvement projects around home.
NRHEG is a great place to work, learn, and grow. I am blessed to be part of a school community that believes investing in the education of our children is most important to our future.
